F14 is a Wolf CSO convection steam oven code, seen on models such as the CSO24 and CSO30 series, and it stands for the E36 and E37 conditions. The official meaning is a defective control unit, or an open circuit in the control unit's temperature sensor. Owners see F14 on the display and the oven stops responding as it should. It points to the control side of the oven, not to cookware or water.
1. Switch the oven off at the breaker for one minute. 2. Restore power and wait for the display to start. 3. Try one simple setting. 4. If F14 returns, leave the oven off and call us. Do not remove the control or open the casing.
E36 and E37. Both relate to the control unit, one to the unit itself and one to its temperature sensor circuit. On site we look at control unit problem and open circuit in the control unit temperature sensor, then quote the repair in writing.
Not always. An open circuit in the sensor may be a smaller repair. We test first and give you a written price. Starting point for us is usually control unit problem, with the price written down before any work.
It is safe to leave unused. If you prefer, switch the breaker off until we visit. We would also rule out open circuit in the control unit temperature sensor before recommending anything.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
