What E26 means

On Wolf convection steam ovens, such as the CSO24TE/S/TH with knob control or the CSO3050TM/S/T with touch control, E26 means a break or loose contact in the climate sensor or its wiring. The same problem may show as F3. A blocked exhaust duct, or a blocked duct between the cooking space and the sensor, can also trigger it. Steam cooking may stop.

Common causes of E26

  • Break or loose contact in the climate sensor or its wiring
  • Exhaust duct blocked
  • Duct between cooking space and sensor blocked
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Shut the oven off and give it time to cool down. 2. Check that nothing blocks the exhaust opening and wipe away any visible residue near it. 3. Turn the breaker off, wait a minute, and turn it on. 4. Try a short steam cycle. Should E26 or F3 return, we should take a look. Do not poke into the vent.

! Why to stop there
  • A blocked duct and a failed sensor feel the same to an owner.
  • We clear and test the path and the sensor, then give the price in writing before replacing parts.
  • Reaching the sensor and ducts means opening the oven housing, which is not a homeowner task.
  • Our work comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

E26E26 questions
Is F3 the same as E26?

Yes. On knob-control models the problem shows as F3 and on touch-control models as E26. The meaning is the same. Please tell us which code your model displays.

Can I clean the exhaust myself?

You can gently wipe visible residue at the opening when cool, but avoid pushing anything into the duct. Wipe visible residue only when cool, and never push anything inside.

Does the oven still bake?

Dry cooking may still work, but steam features may be limited until the sensor path is sorted out. Clearing the path usually costs less than replacing the sensor.
