On Wolf 24-inch E Series wall ovens, including the SO24 and SO2450 families, E26 points to the climate sensor circuit being open. The oven reports a break or loose contact in the sensor or its wiring, and it also lists a blocked exhaust duct, or a blocked duct between the cooking space and the sensor, as possible causes. Humidity-related modes may stop until the code is cleared.
1. Let the oven cool and look for anything resting on the vents, such as foil or a baking sheet. 2. Clear grease or debris you can reach without tools. 3. Reset the breaker and test a normal Bake. 4. If E26 persists, call us rather than reaching behind the cavity wall.
The control cannot see the climate sensor circuit, so it reports a break or loose contact. A blocked duct to the sensor can also trigger it. A blocked path can produce the same code as a failed sensor.
E25 means a short, while E26 means an open or loose circuit. We test the circuit to see which one you have. We test the circuit directly to tell them apart.
It can if a blockage was the cause. If E26 stays after clearing the vents, the sensor or wiring needs service. Please keep everything away from the vents while you wait.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
