On Wolf convection steam ovens, such as the CSO30TM/S/TH or CSO3050TM/S/T, the message Boiler scaled up, please descale tells you the boiler has reached its maximum operating hours and needs descaling. It can also follow the water-system errors E66, E68, E70 and E72. Steam features may be limited until the descaling program is done and the message is cleared. The oven is otherwise usable.
1. Empty and rinse the water tank, then refill it with fresh water. 2. Run the oven's descaling program as described in your use and care guide, using the recommended descaler. 3. Rinse the tank and run the rinse cycle. 4. If the message returns right after descaling, or E66, E68, E70 or E72 appears, call us.
It is a maintenance message tied to boiler operating hours, so it is closer to a reminder than a breakdown. Ignoring it can limit steam cooking.
Those water-system errors can also lead to this prompt. If any of them appear with it, descaling may not be enough and the water system should be checked.
Using fresh, softer water in the tank helps reduce scale. Our visit can also check the boiler if scale returns quickly. We can also advise on tank water.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
