What E75 / F22 means

E75, shown on some displays as F22, is a Wolf CSO convection steam oven code for the CSO24 and CSO30 series. The official meaning is that there is insufficient water, or none, for rinsing, that foam has built up excessively, that the retractable handle has an issue, or that the bottom heat actuator has a problem. Owners see it during or after a descale rinse, and the oven will not go on to steam.

Common causes of E75 / F22

  • Insufficient or no rinse water
  • Excessive foam build-up
  • Retractable handle issue
  • Bottom heat actuator problem
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Fill the water tank completely with fresh water and seat it. 2. Repeat the rinse step the guide describes so foam can clear. 3. Check that the retractable handle moves freely. 4. Switch the oven off for one minute, then restore power. 5. If E75 or F22 shows again, call us.

! Why to stop there
  • The bottom heat actuator is inside the oven and not safe to test.
  • Foam may return unless the real cause is found.
  • Guessing between water, handle and actuator takes longer than a proper test.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

E75 / F22E75 / F22 questions
What is E75 asking for?

Mostly more rinse water. The oven wants enough fresh water to flush descaler and foam, so a full tank and a repeated rinse is the first move.

What if rinsing does not help?

Then the handle or the bottom heat actuator may be at issue. Those need a technician, and we quote the work in writing before starting. Starting point for us is usually insufficient or no rinse water, with the price written down before any work.

Is F22 connected?

F22 is a label that several E codes share, including E71 and E77. Your page depends on the code you actually see, so check the display carefully.
