On Wolf CSO convection steam ovens such as the CSO24 and CSO30 series, E70 is a water-supply code with two official causes. Either the boiler is scaled up, or the inlet valve is leaking because it does not close tightly or limescale fragments sit in its seal. Owners see E70 on the display, and steam cooking is blocked. Hard water and skipped descaling are the usual background.
1. Power the oven off and let it cool. 2. Empty the tank and refill with fresh water, seating it firmly. 3. Run the descaling cycle as the use and care guide describes. 4. Rinse the system with a full tank of fresh water. 5. Try steam again. If E70 stays, call us and do not remove any panels.
Water is getting into the boiler when it should not, or the boiler is scaled. The listed causes are scale and a leaking inlet valve, which often go together.
Small flakes can lodge in the valve seal so it stays slightly open. Then water seeps in, and the oven flags it. Cleaning the seal needs access inside the oven.
Descale on the schedule in the guide and use fresh water in the tank. We can also check the valve while on site and write up any price before work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
