On pre-2018 Wolf induction ranges such as the IR304TE/S/TH and IR365PE/S/PH, code 30 means a data flash error inside the control. The memory that stores the range's settings and configuration could not be read or written correctly. The display shows 30, and cooking functions may be disabled because the range cannot trust its stored data. Note the exact code, 30, and when it first appeared, since that helps us narrow things down before we arrive.
1. Turn all elements off. 2. Cut power at the breaker for about a minute, then switch it back on. 3. Wait for the display to start up and see whether 30 returns. 4. If it does, stop using the range and call us. Do not open any panel.
It is a data flash error. The control could not store or read its saved settings correctly. On the older IR induction ranges this points to the control board, not to a pan or the cooktop surface.
A power interruption during a write can corrupt stored data. A breaker reset may clear it once. If 30 comes back, the control needs testing and probably replacement.
We do not recommend using the range while 30 is shown. The control cannot trust its stored data. Call us and we will quote the work in writing before we begin.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
