On Wolf legacy dual fuel ranges such as the DF304 and DF366, PF on the oven knob display means either the unit had a power failure, or the oven temperature is too hot for the cooking mode selected. It is usually a notice rather than a breakdown. To clear it, turn the selector to a mode and then back to OFF, and open the door to let the oven cool.
1. Turn the selector to any mode, then back to OFF. 2. Open the oven door to let heat escape. 3. Wait until the oven cools before choosing a lower-temperature mode. 4. Check whether the kitchen lost power or a breaker tripped. 5. If PF returns often, call us.
Usually it is a notice. It appears after a power failure or when you pick a mode while the oven is too hot for it. Clearing and cooling normally solves it.
Turn the selector to a mode and then back to OFF. Opening the door helps the oven cool, so the next mode setting is accepted.
If PF keeps coming back with no outage and a cool oven, call us. We will check the control and quote the repair in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
