On Wolf legacy dual fuel ranges such as the DF484CG and DF606CG, ERR 01 means the control drove the door lock motor but did not sense the lock or unlock switches within 60 seconds. The oven cannot confirm the door position, so you may see the code after a self-clean start, and the door may stay locked or the cycle may stop.
1. Turn the oven OFF at the knob and wait for it to cool. 2. Make sure the door is fully closed and nothing is wedged in it. 3. Turn the range breaker off for one minute, then on. 4. Try a short bake to see if the code returns. 5. If the code returns or the door stays locked, stop and call us.
Self-clean needs the door locked, so the control tests the lock first. If it does not see the lock switches confirm within 60 seconds, it stops and shows ERR 01.
Let the oven cool completely and reset the breaker once. Do not pry the door. If it stays locked, call us so we can release it without damage.
We suggest not. The control cannot confirm the door state, so behavior may be unreliable. Call us and we will check the lock system and quote a price before starting.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
