On Wolf dual fuel DFxx50 two-oven ranges, such as the DF48450CG/S/P, OPP appears on the oven knob when the other oven is in self-clean. Only one cavity may clean at a time, and the main door latch is locked. OPP is not an error. Owners see it when they try to use a second oven during a cleaning cycle and the oven will not start. The message clears when the cycle ends.
1. Check whether the other oven is in self-clean. 2. Wait for the cycle to finish and the oven to cool and unlock. 3. Do not force the door. 4. Start the second oven once OPP clears. If OPP stays with no self-clean running, switch the range off at the breaker for two minutes and call us if it returns.
Only one cavity may self-clean, and the lock stays active until cleaning ends. OPP tells you the other oven is the one in cleaning, not that this one is broken.
Until the self-clean cycle finishes and the oven cools down enough to unlock. That can take a few hours, so plan cooking around it. Pick a time to cook that avoids it.
Try a breaker reset. If OPP remains, the lock or control may be stuck in cleaning state, and we can check it at a visit. Normal behavior is restored after that.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
