On Wolf CSO convection steam ovens, such as the CSO24 and CSO30 series, the message Fill Water Tank means the oven does not see water where it expects it. The official causes are no water in the tank, a tank that is not seated, an inlet that is blocked or scaled, or an inlet valve that is jammed. Owners see the message and steam cooking will not begin. The first fixes are simple and owner-safe.
1. Pull the tank out and fill it with fresh tap water to the line. 2. Wipe the back of the tank and the bay where they meet. 3. Push the tank in firmly until it seats. 4. If you see scale, run the descaling cycle as the guide describes. 5. If the message stays, call us.
The oven may not detect water if the tank is not seated, or if the inlet is blocked by scale. Reseating and descaling are the first checks.
Often not. A refilled and reseated tank clears it. If it stays, the inlet or valve needs a technician. Starting point for us is usually no water in the tank, with the price written down before any work.
Use fresh tap water and descale on the schedule in the guide. If it keeps returning, call us and we quote any repair in writing. We would also rule out tank not seated properly before recommending anything.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
