Wolf’s new 50 generation of Pro Ventilation includes the VL602250P/S/12, a 60-inch pro hood liner with a 22-inch depth, a stainless steel hood from the newest generation of the line. Liners usually disappear into a finished enclosure, which puts the working parts behind trim and cabinetry, and the cabinetry around it controls how well cooking air is captured. Years of daily use leave a film on the filters and the blower wheel; a louder hum or a new rattle is usually what owners notice first.
The first step is a look at the filters, then the blower wheel, then the airflow at the opening; after that we trace the duct path for blockage or a stuck damper. Nothing begins until you have approved a written price, and we stand behind the completed work for 30 days.
A rattle that grows with speed points to a loose wheel, dry bearings or something stuck in the housing, so we test airflow and the blower before pricing anything.
After an outage we check the power supply, switch response and control board before assuming anything has failed, and we can usually confirm which one early in the visit.
Many repairs can be done in place, but a blower or motor job may need the hood lowered or partly removed, so the plan is clear before work begins.
