On Wolf VC ceiling-mounted hoods such as the VC36S and VC48S, the filter light is a maintenance reminder. A solid light after 100 hours of blower use means clean the grease filters. A light flashing every 2 seconds after 200 hours means replace the charcoal filters. You reset it by holding the 3 button for 5 seconds. The hood is not damaged.
1. Shut the hood off and let it cool before reaching up. 2. For a solid light, remove and clean the grease filters, then dry them. 3. For a flashing light, replace the charcoal filters. 4. Refit everything, then hold 3 for 5 seconds to reset. 5. If the light stays on, call us.
Solid after 100 hours means clean the grease filters. Flashing every 2 seconds after 200 hours means replace the charcoal filters. Both are reminders and neither shuts the hood down.
After cleaning or replacing the filters, hold the 3 button for 5 seconds. The light should go out. If it does not, check the filters are seated and try again.
If the light will not reset, or the hood has weak airflow after new filters, call us. We check the filters and control, with a written price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
