Wolf I363418 Island Hood Service
The I363418 is a 36-inch pro island hood from the earlier Pro Ventilation line, an earlier generation of the PI363418, made 2003–2007. Island hoods are suspended above the island range or cooktop, which leaves every side open to cross drafts, and tight clearances around the housing leave little room for sloppy work. Most of the wear we see on hoods of this kind starts with clogged filters and a dirty blower wheel; the cure is often a cleaning and a small part rather than a full replacement.
Our visit begins with the controls, since a dead button can look like a dead motor; while we wipe down the housing to see how much grease has gathered. You get a written price before any work starts, and the work carries our 30-day workmanship warranty.
An old grease smell comes from buildup on the filters and housing that heats up whenever the blower runs, so a visit usually begins with cleaning and measuring.
A hood that will not shut off should be switched off at the breaker until we can look at the switch and control, and we will tell you plainly if a part is not worth replacing.
Often yes when the cause is a filter, switch, lamp or blower part, and we tell you honestly if the cost is getting close to replacement, and we put the plan in writing first.
