Wolf CSO convection steam ovens show PF when the unit lost power while it was plugged in. The oven noticed an interruption in its supply, for example a brief outage or a tripped breaker, and it reports that the cycle was cut short. The owner sees PF on the display and any running program has stopped, so food may be only partly cooked.
1. Check that other kitchen lights and outlets have power. 2. Look at the breaker panel and reset the oven breaker once if it tripped. 3. Make sure the plug is fully seated in its outlet, if your oven uses one. 4. Clear the display as the manual describes, then restart your program. 5. If PF returns without an outage, call us.
Not by itself. PF is a notice that power dropped while the oven was plugged in. After a known outage, simply clear it and restart. Only a PF that keeps coming back deserves a closer look.
The cycle stopped, so the food may not have reached the target temperature. Check it with a food thermometer before eating, and finish cooking or discard it if you are unsure of how long it sat.
Then the supply may be dipping without you noticing, from a loose connection or a weak breaker. We check the supply side and the oven, and give you the price in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
