On Wolf legacy dual fuel ranges like the DF304 and DF364C, ERR 03 means the control detected an open circuit on the RTD, the oven temperature sensor. With no sensor reading, the oven cannot regulate heat, and the cooling fans may run non-stop. The display shows ERR 03 and baking will not be reliable until the sensor circuit reads normally.
1. Turn the oven OFF and let it cool fully. 2. Cut power at the range breaker for a minute, then restore it. 3. Start a short bake and watch whether ERR 03 returns. 4. Do not keep running the oven if the fans stay on after it is off. 5. Call us if the code comes back.
With an open sensor circuit the control cannot read temperature, so it keeps the cooling fans on. That is part of the ERR 03 response rather than a separate problem.
We advise against it. Without a temperature reading the oven cannot hold heat accurately, and results and safety are both at risk. A baked-on result that comes out uneven or undercooked while this code shows is a good reason to hold off.
