On Wolf legacy dual fuel ranges including the DF484CG, ERR 07 means the control board reported that its SPI communication link with the ECH, the electronic control head with the knobs and display, was lost. The board and the front controls cannot talk to each other, so settings may not register, the oven may not respond, and the code stays on the display.
1. Turn all knobs to OFF. 2. Shut off the range breaker for a full minute, then turn it back on. 3. Look at the display after power returns; do not press or force knobs. 4. If ERR 07 is gone, test a short bake. 5. If it returns, stop and call us.
It is the electronic control head, the front assembly with the oven knobs and display. ERR 07 means the control board stopped hearing from it.
When the board and control head lose their link, commands from the knobs never arrive. The oven then ignores settings or shows the code. The knobs still turn, but the board never receives the new position, so nothing changes in the oven.
One breaker reset is safe and sometimes clears a one-time glitch. If ERR 07 comes back, the link needs a technician, so call us. Do not turn the knobs repeatedly while waiting, since that adds nothing and may confuse the display.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
