On Wolf legacy dual fuel double-oven ranges, OPP on an oven knob display is not an error. It tells you one oven is running a self-clean cycle, so the control senses its door motor lock as engaged and will not let the other oven be used until the cycle ends. You will see OPP when you try to turn on the second oven. Wall ovens do not use this display, so a wall oven showing OPP is a different situation and should be described to us by phone.
1. Check whether the other oven is in a self-clean cycle or still locked afterward. 2. Let the cycle finish and the oven cool until the lock releases on its own. 3. Use the OFF position on the knob of the cleaning oven only if you want to end the cycle. 4. Never force the door open while it is locked. 5. If OPP stays after the cleaning oven is cool and unlocked, call us.
No. It is a normal message while one oven is self-cleaning. Once the cycle ends and the door unlocks, the second oven becomes available again with no action needed.
Yes. Turn the cleaning oven knob to OFF and wait for it to cool and unlock. Do not pull on the door while the lock is still engaged.
Call us. A lock that does not release or is not sensed correctly needs a technician. We give a written price first and back repairs with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
