Code 0022 on Wolf dual fuel DFxx50 ranges from 2020 on, for example the DF48450CG/S/P and DF60650CG/S/P, reports a shorted bake element drive in the left oven. The control sees the switching part as closed when no heat is called for. The display shows 0022, and the left oven may stop working until the condition is cleared. The right oven may be unaffected.
1. Cancel the cycle and wait until the left oven is cool. 2. Cycle the breaker off for a minute and then restore power. 3. Try a brief preheat and see if 0022 shows again. 4. A repeat means a technician needs to test it, so leave that oven off. 5. Call us and keep every panel closed.
The control detected that the bake element drive is shorted in the left oven. That is a circuit reading from the oven, so the code is pointing us at the right place to start testing.
We would pause. A circuit that reads shorted can give heat you did not request. Until we have tested it, treat the oven as unavailable and cook on another surface.
We test the circuit to see whether the part, the wiring or the control board output is responsible, then explain what is needed. Nothing is done before you approve the written price in hand.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
