On Wolf downdraft vents with a 14-inch rise, such as the DD30, DD36, and DD45, all control LEDs flashing while the vent does not move points to the lift system. The official causes include an open safety or filter switch, a travel time-out of about two minutes, both limit switches reading open, a blown fuse FU1 or FU2, an actuator board, or an over-current condition.
1. Make sure nothing sits in the vent path and the grease filter is fully seated. 2. Clear any items from around the raised or lowered unit. 3. Turn the control off, wait a minute, then try again. 4. Do not force the vent by hand. 5. If it still will not move, call us.
The vent is warning that it cannot complete its move. Causes include an open safety or filter switch, a travel time-out, open limit switches, a blown fuse, or an actuator or over-current issue.
We advise against it. Pushing a stuck lift can bend parts and make a fixable issue worse. If it is in the way, call us and we will advise the safest next step.
We start with the switches and filter position, then the limit switches, fuses FU1 and FU2, and the actuator board. The price is quoted in writing before work begins.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
