On Wolf CSO convection steam ovens such as the CSO24 and CSO30 series, E46 with F8 means actuator relay K4 is stuck, or the element or relay board is damaged. The oven detects that the relay did not release properly and stops, showing the pair. You may find the oven will not start any new program.
1. Switch the oven off at the breaker for one full minute. 2. Turn power back on and watch the display. 3. If E46 / F8 stays away, test with a short cycle. 4. If it reappears, leave the oven off and book service.
It is one of the actuator relays on the oven's relay board. The code says K4 did not release as it should.
They share F8 and the same kind of problem, but a different relay. We read which one the oven stored.
You may try a breaker reset. If E46 / F8 returns, a technician should inspect the relay and element.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
