Within the earlier Pro Ventilation line, the I663418 is the 66-inch pro island hood, an earlier generation of the PI663418, made 2003–2007. Island hoods are suspended above the island range or cooktop, which leaves every side open to cross drafts, and the wiring to the controls has to stay clear of heat and moisture. Years of daily use leave a film on the filters and the blower wheel; we would rather catch that early than wait for a blower that stops mid-dinner.
