Wolf MD24TE/S Drawer Microwave Repair
Most MD24TE/S drawers are built into base cabinetry below the counter, where the 24-inch opening keeps the microwave out of sight and lets you slide dishes in without lifting. It belongs to the E Series family with traditional touch controls, and its transitional trim carries tubular handles.
Because a motor slides the drawer, the weak spots are the drive and the sensor that confirms the drawer is fully seated. When the drawer stops a fraction short, the control reads it as open and refuses to start. Drawers also collect crumbs and spills in the track more readily than door models. We check the travel path and sensor first, then the heating side if the cycle runs cold. A written price comes first, and the repair is covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.
The interlock depends on drawer position sensing, so a drawer stopping slightly short reads as open. We check the track, the sensor and the drive in that order.
A rough or slow drive usually means worn gears or debris in the slide. Left alone it can jam the drawer shut, so a repair sooner is generally cheaper than waiting.
Wolf designs this drawer for below-the-counter placement, not over a range. If yours sits elsewhere and has trouble, we look at ventilation and clearance as well as the usual drawer parts.
