36-inch Wolf CT36G/S Gas Cooktop Repair
Thirty-six inches wide with a framed top, the CT36G/S is the biggest gas cooktop in the legacy CT line. It has mechanical knobs and ignition from before the CG family replaced it, and its burner and valve parts come from the CT list.
With that many burners, an issue on one deserves a precise description: which burner, whether it clicks, whether it lights and then dies. The same cooktop can have a clogged port on one side and a worn knob on the other, and treating them as one problem wastes a visit.
A persistent gas smell is handled the same way on any gas appliance, whatever its age. Leave the controls alone, avoid switches nearby, get everyone out, and call your gas utility. After the area is safe we can inspect the cooktop. We quote in writing first and cover our work for 30 days.
Name its position, such as front left, and tell us what it does: no spark, spark without flame, or a flame that goes out. That detail helps us bring the right parts.
The knob may have slipped on the valve stem, or the stem connection has worn. We check the connection and valve, then tell you the price before we repair or replace anything.
Usually not. Valves and igniters are serviced individually, so one failed valve does not condemn the cooktop. We confirm the part for the CT parts list and quote that individual repair in writing first.
