On earlier Wolf CT induction cooktops, such as the CT30 and CT36 sizes, E30 is one of the E30 through E34 group, which all mean a generator burner ON LED failure. The ON indicator for a burner is not working, and the official correction points to the LED board. Expect E30 on the display with some burners unavailable. Cooking itself may continue, but the indicator light for that burner cannot be trusted.
1. Turn off all burners. 2. Let the glass cool, then wipe it dry. 3. Switch the breaker off for one minute and restore power. 4. Start a burner and watch whether E30 returns. 5. If it does, keep using the cooktop with extra care about which burners are on, and book a visit.
They are the burner ON LED failure codes on the earlier CT induction cooktops. Each number refers to a different generator burner, and the LED board is the listed correction.
It is not an overheating code, but a burner may be on without a working indicator. Check the surface with care and have the LED board inspected.
It can clear a one-time glitch. If E30 returns, a real LED or board problem is likely and we should look at it. If the display changes or the behavior gets worse, tell us when you call.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
