Wolf CT15G/S Gas Cooktop Repair, Legacy 15-inch
Wolf’s CT line included gas cooktops, and the CT15G/S is the 15-inch version with mechanical knobs and a framed top. Owners tend to install one near a main range for extra burner space or in a compact kitchen where a full-width cooktop will not fit.
Wear on a unit this age is mostly mechanical. A knob that spins loosely on its stem and a valve that turns hard are different problems: one is a worn connection, the other is the valve itself needing attention. Describing which one you feel saves us time.
Igniters, valves and burner parts come from the CT list, not the current CG list, so we confirm the model first. A persistent gas smell is not a repair to wait on: leave the area and call your gas utility. For everything else, we quote before working and cover the repair for 30 days.
A spark that never stops usually means the ignition sensing is dirty or damp, or a switch is sticking. We start by cleaning and drying, then test the igniter circuit. A written price comes before any parts are ordered.
Not reliably. The CT line follows its own older parts list. We match parts to the CT model on your label, which prevents ordering something that looks right but does not fit.
No. Leave the area, avoid switches, and call your gas utility right away. Once the leak is dealt with, we are glad to inspect the cooktop and quote the repair.
