Wolf CSO convection steam ovens display Please Close Door when the oven reads the door as open. The official cause is a door that is actually open or one that cannot close because racks or cookware stick out and block it. The owner sees the prompt, and heating or steaming will not start or will pause until the door registers as closed.
1. Open the door fully and look for racks sitting crooked or a pan sticking out. 2. Push racks in all the way and straighten them. 3. Wipe food debris from the door edge and seal area with a damp cloth once the oven is cool. 4. Close the door firmly and restart. 5. If the prompt stays with a clear door, call us.
A rack or pan edge can hold the door a fraction open, and the oven senses that tiny gap. Push everything in, wipe the door edge, and close it firmly before restarting.
Opening the door pauses the program. Close it and the cycle resumes or you restart it. Opening it during steam also lets hot steam out, so step back and open slowly.
Call when the door is clear, racks are seated, the edge is clean, and the prompt still appears. We then check the door fit and its sensing, with a written price before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
