F8 on Wolf CSO convection steam ovens, such as the CSO24 and CSO30 series, is the display label for E43 and E45 through E48. The official meaning is a stuck relay: the neutral relay (K1 or K2) for E43, or one of the actuator relays K3 to K6 for E45 to E48. Owners see F8 and the oven shuts down. A stuck relay is a safety matter, so the oven should stay off.
1. Turn the oven's breaker off. 2. Do not run the oven. 3. Restore power once after a minute to see if the code clears. 4. If F8 returns, leave the breaker off and call us. Do not open the casing or touch any relay.
A relay that should switch off stays closed. The oven detects this and shows F8, to protect itself and you. On site we look at neutral relay K1 or K2 stuck and actuator relay K3, K4, K5 or K6 stuck, then quote the repair in writing.
The neutral relay K1 or K2, and actuator relays K3 to K6, under codes E43 and E45 to E48. Starting point for us is usually neutral relay K1 or K2 stuck, with the price written down before any work.
We suggest switching the breaker off until we arrive. We confirm the relay, give a written price, and repair it with a 30-day warranty. We would also rule out actuator relay K3, K4, K5 or K6 stuck before recommending anything.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
