If a Wolf CSO convection steam oven (24-inch or 30-inch series) shows E100, the oven is reporting an operating system issue linked to moisture on the relay board. The oven runs its program from that board, so damp electronics can make it lose track of what it is doing. The display usually shows the code and the oven stops cooking until the problem is dealt with.
1. Turn the oven off and let it stand until it is no longer hot. 2. Wipe condensation from the door, vent area, and control panel with a dry cloth. 3. Leave the door open for several minutes. 4. Switch the breaker off for one minute, then back on so the electronics start fresh. 5. If the code returns, call us and do not open any panel.
Normal steam cooking is what the oven is built for, so you did nothing wrong. Moisture sometimes finds its way to the electronics anyway, and we trace where it is entering before closing the job.
A short rest with the door open can help, but if the code returns, moisture has likely left residue or damaged the board. At that point we need to examine it directly.
Sometimes a board can be dried and cleaned, and sometimes it must be replaced. We decide after inspection and give you both options and the price in writing before we start.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
