On Wolf DFxx50 dual fuel ranges from 2020 on, such as the DF30450/S/P and DF36450G/S/P, code 4022 means the bake element load is missing. The control tried to power the bake element and found no load, so the element appears disconnected or open. The display shows 4022 and the oven may not heat when you set a bake cycle, or it may heat slowly.
1. Turn the oven off and let it cool fully. 2. Look at the bottom of the oven for a visibly broken or blistered element, without touching it. 3. Switch off the breaker, wait a full minute, then switch it on. 4. If 4022 returns, call us. Do not unplug or move the element.
The control sent power toward the bake element and detected no electrical load. That usually means the element circuit is open somewhere, so no heat is produced.
That is often what you notice, yes. Some ovens still run other modes, but bake may be weak or absent. We check the element and the circuit to confirm.
We do not advise it. Terminals and wiring carry high power, and the cause may be elsewhere. We diagnose first and give a written price.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
