On Wolf Legacy E Series wall ovens like the SO30PE/S/PH, Error 07 0 36 is RM Ambient Thermistor Shorted. The temperature sensor on the relay module reads as a short instead of a normal value, so the control cannot judge how warm its electronics are. The oven may limit use and the code stays on the display. This is not a cavity digit: the 0 is printed as part of the code and refers to the control.
1. Turn everything off and let the oven sit until it is cool. 2. Check that the vents around the oven are clear. 3. Switch the breaker off for a full minute and flip it on again. 4. Try a short bake. If Error 07 0 36 returns, stop using the oven and call us.
Open means the sensor circuit is broken, which is Error 07 0 35. Shorted means it reads as if the two wires touch, which is this code. Both leave the reading unusable.
The control may allow it for a while, but it is reporting that it cannot sense its electronics temperature. We recommend a prompt visit to avoid a sudden stop.
A breaker reset sometimes clears a passing glitch. A true short stays, and the code will come back, so we test the thermistor circuit. Tell us the full code when you call.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
