On Wolf M Series wall ovens, 1A31 means the triac for the upper oven's left convection fan is read as open, the opposite of the shorted 0A31 report. The lower oven uses 1A32. The left fan does not get power when needed, so you see the code and convection baking is weak or uneven. A fan that runs at the wrong time, or never starts, is usually how owners notice it.
1. Stop the oven and leave it to cool. 2. Switch the oven breaker off for one minute, then restore power. 3. Listen for the fan once the oven is off. 4. If the code returns, stop using convection modes and call us. Do not open the back panel.
Both involve the upper left convection fan switch. Code 0A31 reads it shorted, so the fan can run when it should not. Code 1A31 reads it open, so the fan may not run at all. We confirm which one applies.
Standard bake without convection is usually fine for a short time, but we would not run it for long. Fans protect the controls from heat, so a wrong fan state is worth fixing soon, and we can schedule that.
We quote in writing before work, after testing the fan and its switching. If the board is the issue we show you why. The work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
