On Wolf L Series legacy wall ovens with the Invensys control, such as the SO30F/S, DO30U/S or SO36U/S, EEPROM means the oven cannot read or write to its EEPROM, the memory chip holding its settings. Official guidance points to replacing the oven controller. The oven may fail to start, lose settings or display EEPROM every time it is powered up. Settings may disappear.
1. Turn the oven off and switch its breaker off for one minute. 2. Restore power and see if EEPROM appears again. 3. Do not keep pressing keys or resetting repeatedly. 4. If it shows again, call us. This is not a repair owners can do.
It is a small memory chip on the controller that stores the oven's settings. When it cannot be read or written, the controller cannot operate reliably.
The recommended fix is to replace the oven controller. We still check power and connections first, so a controller is only recommended when testing points there.
