On Wolf M Series wall ovens, such as the SO30TM/S/TH, code 8110 is a display error: the screen or its driver is not working as the control expects. Code 8010 reports a display backlight error. You may see dim or no lighting, flicker, a frozen picture or just the number, while the oven may still be heating behind the scenes.
1. With the oven off, cut power at the breaker for two minutes. 2. Restore power and watch the screen start. 3. Check the screen from different angles in a dim room to see if there is a faint picture. 4. A repeat of 8110 or 8010 means it is time to book a visit. Do not press on the glass.
It is the display backlight error. The screen may still show a faint picture but the light behind it is not working, while 8110 is the broader display error.
The oven may still heat but you cannot see settings, so we do not recommend using it blind. A technician should restore the display first.
Rarely for long. If the backlight or driver is failing, the dimness returns, and replacing the screen assembly is the usual fix. A dark screen is not a safe way to cook.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
