On Wolf M Series wall ovens in the SO3050 and DO3050 families, 2521 is the relay board reporting an error in its MDL input circuit. MDL is the motorized door lock, so the board is not getting a clean signal from the lock side. Owners usually see 2521 along with a door that will not lock or unlock, or a cycle that will not begin.
1. Make sure the oven door is fully closed and nothing, such as a towel or tray, props it open. 2. Cut power at the breaker for a full two minutes before restoring it. 3. Try a short Bake and listen for the lock motor. 4. If 2521 reappears, stop and schedule service rather than forcing the door.
Both codes carry the same official wording, an MDL input circuit error on the relay board. They are separate entries on the display, and we check the lock and relay board connections to see which one applies to your oven.
Do not pry it. Switch the breaker off and on once, wait a few minutes, and try Off then On again. If it stays locked, call us and we will release and test the lock safely.
Not always. A loose lock connector or a worn lock motor can produce the same message. We test the input before recommending parts and quote the price in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
