Wolf M Series wall ovens show 0931 when the triac that switches the upper oven's right convection fan is read as shorted, meaning the fan circuit conducts when it should not. The lower oven's counterpart is 0932, and some displays number it 0920 or 0C20. You may hear the right fan running at the wrong time, with the code on screen. A fan that runs at the wrong time, or never starts, is usually how owners notice it.
1. Shut the oven off and give it time to cool down. 2. Switch the oven breaker off for one minute, then restore power. 3. Listen for the fan once the oven is off. 4. If the code returns, stop using convection modes and call us. Do not open the back panel.
A fan that will not stop is exactly what a shorted triac does, and it is why 0931 appears. It is not an emergency, but the circuit should not be left that way for long. We confirm the right fan circuit and quote it first.
Standard bake without convection is usually fine for a short time, but we would not run it for long. Fans protect the controls from heat, so a wrong fan state is worth fixing soon, and we can schedule that.
We quote in writing before work, after testing the fan and its switching. If the board is the issue we show you why. The work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
