E15 covers three Wolf platforms. On CT electric cooktops such as the CT30E/S, it is a keyboard calibration error. On CI induction cooktops with the touchscreen, such as the CI30460T/S, it means a power supply error on the induction side. On integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the TM15TF/S, the communication link with the cap-touch controls is compromised. The display shows E15 and some controls may not respond.
1. Turn off all elements and wipe the control area dry. 2. Remove power at the breaker for a minute, then put it back. 3. Do not touch the controls while the cooktop starts up, since calibration is read then. 4. If E15 returns, stop and call us; supply and sensor circuits are not for owners to test.
On touch and keyboard controls the cooktop reads a baseline when it powers up. Touching it then can skew calibration, so let it start untouched.
It is a protective stop, not a hazard on its own, but we do not want the cooktop used until the supply is tested, since an unstable supply can affect the induction circuit.
It is the capacitive touch panel on the module cooktops. E15 means the link between that panel and the main control has been compromised. We tell you plainly whether a repair makes sense for your unit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
