Wolf CG152T/S Gas Cooktop Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Burner will not light
  2. Flame yellow, no simmer
  3. Knob turns, no gas
  4. Gas smell at cooktop

The CG152T/S is a fifteen-inch gas cooktop with two sealed burners and transitional styling, the kind of top we usually find dropped into a countertop run beside a built-in oven or a wall-oven column.

Burner caps, ignition electrodes and gas orifices live in a spill zone, so boil-overs and cleaning liquid are the usual reason a flame turns lazy, yellow or uneven as the cooktop gets older. Wear shows up at the burners before anything else: caps that no longer seat true, electrodes coated with spills, and orifices that partly clog and push the flame up and away.

On arrival we shut off the gas at the valve, lift the grate and caps, and test the switch, electrode and orifice for the affected burner before touching anything else. You approve a written price before we pick up a tool, and every repair is backed by a 30-day workmanship warranty.

CG152T/SCG152T/S questions
The two burners on my CG152T/S click but one will not light. What is wrong?

Usually it is a spill-fouled electrode, a cap that no longer seats, or a clogged port on that burner. We clean and test those first, which often fixes it without replacing parts.

I smell gas near my CG152T/S. Should I wait for a visit?

No. Turn the knobs off, shut the gas supply at the valve if you can reach it, ventilate the room, and avoid switches or flames. Call your gas utility and then us once it is safe.

My fifteen-inch cooktop keeps clicking after the flame is on. Is that normal?

Not for long. Continuous clicking usually means the spark switch or the electrode area is wet or dirty, and it can wear the switch out. We clean the area and test the switch.
