Wolf CT36I/U Induction Cooktop Repair
The CT36I/U is a thirty-six-inch induction cooktop that Wolf made from 2008 to 2014, so most units still cooking today are well past a decade old. We usually find them in a long counter run or an island, often next to a wall-oven stack that was remodeled around it.
On an older touch-control cooktop the first trouble is usually in the panel or in the sensing at one zone. A zone that heats only when the pan is placed just so, a panel that answers only some touches, or a cooktop that drops out mid-cook are common stories. If a code appears, the exact one (E02 through E05, E8, E9, E33, E53 or F7) tells us where to begin.
We start by testing the pan with a magnet, then run each zone and read the display. You get a written price before any work starts, and our repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.
It may be. Induction needs a magnetic base, so try a magnet on the bottom of the pan. If a pan that used to work is now ignored, the zone's sensing is the likelier cause.
Note which zone you were using, how long it ran, and whether a code showed on the display before it stopped. That tells us whether we are looking at heat protection, a sensor or the power feed.
Often yes, because a zone or panel repair costs less than a new cooktop and countertop work. We give you a written price first so you can decide with the number in front of you.
