Wolf CT induction cooktops from the earlier CTI line, such as CT30 and CT36 sizes, display E10 for a generator 3 communication error. Generator 3 is no longer answering the control, so the burners it supplies stay off. The rest of the cooktop may behave normally, which is why the problem often looks partial. The numbers just before it, E8 and E9, describe generators 1 and 2.
1. Turn off all burners and wait for the glass to cool. 2. Turn the breaker off for a minute and back on. 3. Check whether the same burners are dead and E10 reappears. 4. Do not open the unit or touch internal wiring. 5. Book service and tell us you see E10 on a CT induction model.
Usually only the burners tied to generator 3. Others can still heat, but we suggest not relying on the unit until it is checked. We always explain what we find before any repair begins, so you can decide calmly.
They are communication errors for generators 1, 2 and 3. The number tells us which generator to test first. Our written price comes first, and nothing is done without your approval.
Sometimes it clears a one-time glitch. If E10 comes back, the link or generator needs inspection. If you are unsure, send us the model number and we will tell you what to expect.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
