Code 47 is a LIN communication error on Wolf 2015-series cooktops. It can appear on CI induction models like the CI365C/B, CE electric models such as the CE365T/S, and integrated modules like the FM15TF/S. Two parts of the control are no longer exchanging data over their internal link, so zones may not respond to the touch controls. The display shows the code.
1. Shut every zone off and wait for the surface to cool. 2. Cycle the breaker with a one-minute pause. 3. Wait for the display to settle and try one zone. 4. If code 47 returns, stop and do not retry. 5. Call us with the model number.
LIN is the internal data link between parts of the control. Code 47 means that link failed. The two sides of the control stop sharing data, and the touch controls may then stop reaching the zones.
Often yes. Zones may not respond because the parts cannot talk to each other. We suggest not relying on the cooktop until it is checked.
Once, yes. If code 47 comes back, the link needs a technician. We quote in writing first. We check the link under the glass and tell you the price in writing before we replace anything.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
