On Wolf integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the CE152TF/S and SM15TF/S, E22 means the configuration data stored in EEPROM memory is corrupted. The control can no longer rely on its stored setup, so it stops normal operation. The display shows E22, and the cooktop may not heat. Owners cannot rewrite this data from the controls, so it typically needs a technician.
1. Turn all modules off. 2. Take power off at the breaker for one minute and then bring it back. 3. See whether the display starts normally. 4. If E22 returns, stop using the cooktop and call us with the model number from its label.
It is the memory where the control keeps its setup. E22 means the configuration data in that memory is corrupted and cannot be trusted. We confirm the reading on site before we quote anything.
They are neighbors. E22 concerns the configuration data, while E23 concerns the user option data, so a technician checks different stored settings. Give us your model number and we will arrive with the right parts.
If the stored data is corrupted, the control may restore defaults or need replacement. We explain the plan and the price in writing before we begin.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
