On Wolf CT electric cooktops such as the CT36EU, E19 is a run time diagnostics failure, meaning one of the checks the control runs while cooking did not pass. On Wolf integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the SM15TF/S, E19 is a rear LO LED state error, where the rear low-setting light does not match the commanded state. The display shows E19.
1. Switch every element off and wait for the surface to cool. 2. Power the cooktop down at its breaker for 60 seconds and restore it. 3. Start one element and watch whether the display and lights behave normally. 4. If E19 returns, stop and call us.
It is a check the control repeats while cooking to confirm things work. On CT cooktops, E19 means one of those checks failed. We keep the visit focused on the code you are seeing.
They are separate. E18 refers to the front LO LED and E19 to the rear LO LED on the module cooktops, so we know which side to inspect.
We suggest not doing so. The control stopped because a check failed, and until we test it we cannot say what part is involved. The first visit is usually enough to name the cause.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
