On Wolf CT electric cooktops such as the CT36E/S, E16 is a general keyboard error. On CI induction cooktops with the touchscreen, such as the CI36560T/S, it is an unspecified induction error. On integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the CE152TF/S, it means the power board clock or the supply frequency is out of spec. The display shows E16 and heating may be stopped.
1. Turn every element off. 2. Check whether other appliances or lights in the home are acting up, which could point to a house power issue. 3. Switch the breaker off for one minute, then restore power. 4. If E16 returns, stop using the cooktop and call us.
On module cooktops, E16 includes the supply frequency being out of spec, so power quality is part of the check. If other devices also misbehave, tell us.
Only that the induction circuit reported a problem without more detail. We test power, connections, and the generator in order to find it. Photos of the display and the model label help us prepare.
Only on the CT electric cooktops, where it is a keyboard error. On the other two platforms, it points to induction or power board issues.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
