On Wolf CI induction cooktops with the touchscreen control, such as the CI30460T/S and CI36560C/B, E03 is an LMB key error, meaning the control is not reading its key input correctly. On Wolf integrated module cooktops from the 2015 series, such as the TM15TF/S, E03 means the main RTD sensor is shorted, reading below minus 50 for 20 seconds. You will see E03 on the display and some functions may be unavailable.
1. Wipe the glass and the touch area with a dry microfiber cloth; moisture and spills can confuse the keys. 2. Cut power at the panel for a full minute, then turn it back on. 3. Try the controls again with clean, dry fingers. 4. If E03 shows again, stop and call us; testing a sensor circuit means live panel work.
On the CI touchscreen cooktops, E03 is an LMB key error, so a dirty or wet control can be part of the picture. Dry it and restart before assuming a part has failed.
The main RTD is a temperature sensor. A shorted reading, below minus 50 for 20 seconds, tells the control the sensor circuit is not behaving like a normal sensor.
Normally nothing permanent is lost. The cooktop restarts like a fresh power-up. If E03 returns, we look deeper rather than resetting again and again. Nothing is replaced until you approve the written price.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
