On Wolf touchscreen CI induction cooktops from 2023, including the CI30460T/S and CI36560C/B, E61 reports a hardware error on the master board. The master is the main brain of the cooktop, and it has detected a problem with its own electronics. The display shows E61 and heating may stop on every zone. Touch buttons may stop responding, and the screen may go dark.
1. Turn off all zones and let the glass cool. 2. Turn the wall disconnect off for one minute, then turn it on again. 3. If the screen works normally afterward, use it lightly and watch for E61. 4. If E61 comes back, stop using the cooktop and call us. Do not remove the glass.
Touchscreen induction cooktops use one master board that coordinates every other board in the cooktop. E61 means that main board found a hardware problem in itself.
If it heats normally you are not in danger, but the master board has already flagged a problem. We suggest scheduling a visit before it fails fully.
Once we have the right board, the swap generally takes an hour or two. We tell you the timing and the price before ordering it.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
