On Wolf 24-inch E Series wall ovens in the SO24 and SO2450 families, E57 flags a wiring problem at the supply: an energized wire connected to the neutral terminal, a neutral wire with a break in the house wiring, or an electrical calibration error (see E63). The oven will not run normally while the supply looks wrong, and the display holds E57.
1. Turn the oven's breaker off and leave it off. 2. Do not touch the wiring behind the oven or at the panel. 3. Call us, and mention if any other lights or outlets act strangely. 4. If you smell burning or see scorch marks, call an electrician and your utility right away.
It can be. An energized wire on neutral or a broken neutral is a wiring problem at the supply. Either problem should be treated seriously.
The oven lists an electrical calibration error as a cause. E63 means no calibration of voltage. So E63 may be the root cause behind it.
Leave it off until we check. A wrong supply can harm the oven and is unsafe. Better safe, since wiring problems are no small matter.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
