Older Wolf E Series wall ovens in the SO30TE/S/TH and DO30TE/S/TH generation display Error 01 x 0 when the oven temperature sensor (RTD) reads open, as if its circuit were broken. The control cannot read the cavity temperature, so heating usually stops and the code stays on the display. The x in the code stands for the cavity digit, so check which oven it names.
1. Shut the oven off and give it time to cool down completely. 2. Make sure nothing is stuck in the door or against the back wall of the cavity. 3. Turn the breaker to off for sixty seconds and then to on. 4. Start a short bake. If Error 01 x 0 returns, stop using the oven and call us.
It is the resistance temperature detector, the sensor the control uses to know how hot the oven is. Open means the control sees a broken circuit instead of a normal reading.
Normally not. Without a temperature reading the control cannot hold a setpoint safely, so it stops heating and leaves the code showing until a technician checks the circuit.
No. The x is the cavity digit, so a double oven shows which cavity has the open sensor, and we use it to start at the right place.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
