On Wolf gas burners with a DSI board, including the GR304, GR484CG and SRT304, the control tries a 7-second ignition, waits a 40-second purge, tries again, then purges again before locking out. After two tries, the call-for-heat light blinks slowly: that is Ignition Lockout. A fast flash is a different Safety Lockout. Turning the thermostat to OFF lets it retry.
1. If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. 2. Turn the burner knob or thermostat to OFF to reset the lockout. 3. Lift the burner cap, dry it, and set it back flat and centered. 4. Wait a minute and try again once. 5. If the light blinks slowly again, call us.
Two ignition trials, each followed by a 40-second purge, then the control locks out. Some older guides mention three attempts, but this board uses two.
Slow blink of the call-for-heat light is Ignition Lockout. A fast flash is Safety Lockout, which means flame, valve, or sensing trouble and needs service.
Yes, turn the thermostat to OFF to retry. If it locks out again, stop and call us, and leave the area if you smell gas.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
