On pre-2018 Wolf induction ranges such as the IR304TE/S/TH and IR365PE/S/PH, code 03 means the control glass sensors report a continuous touch. The usual reason is liquid or cookware resting on the touch area, so the control thinks a key is being held down. You will see 03 in the display, and the cooktop may ignore taps or beep on its own until the glass is clear.
1. Turn every element off and remove all pans and utensils from the glass. 2. Wipe the control area with a dry, soft cloth, then let it air dry for a few minutes. 3. Turn the range breaker off, count to sixty, then restore power. 4. Touch one key to see whether 03 returns. 5. If 03 comes back on a clean, dry surface, stop and call us.
It means the touch sensors detect a constant press. On the older IR ranges this is normally liquid or cookware on the control glass. Clearing and drying the area is the first thing to try.
A boil-over or a pan edge near the control area can wet the sensors. Take the pan off, wipe the glass dry, and wait a few minutes. If the message stays, the sensor itself may need attention.
We would not. A control that reads a key as held may react unpredictably. Clear the glass first, and if it persists, book a visit and we will quote before any work.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
